Sit-in as a reflection process
Feminist sit-in in FACSO was one of the best social movement that i've seen. The sit-in was change the visions of the way of protest through the man's and woman's role, and that's so important to the social movements to the future.
The genres was the most important thing that i was think in thats 2 mounths. Who is a man? who is a woman? I think that the world is to binary and some people can not feel comfortable with the binary roles. Since we were kids, we have toys to the boys and toys to the girls. The same with the clothes, with the way to express our ideas, the way to stand up, the way to speak. We learn to be boys and girls, but we do not need be boys or girls. The binarism was one of the main topics that the sit-in gave me to think.
I think that I'm a victim of heteropatriarchy, because I'm not a "straight" man, and i'm not like other men and i don't feel identify with the masculinity. But I do not have the same "level of victim" like the women, because I'm a man, and I have some privileges that women not, only because I'm a man and the world was learn me that i'm a man. r example, some men can scream me "fagot", but their will not go to sexually abuse me in the streets because the most of the men do not sexualize the body of other men. Lesbians women live a worst situation in the heteropatriarchy system, because the social rule say the we need be straights and the women need stay with a man. Thats horrible!
